Now that the Confederate statues are being removed from the Capitol, what else is there to do?

There’s much more to do! While the removal of these statues is a huge step forward, Drum Majors for Justice is pushing to repeal or reform G.S.100-2.1, the law that protects Confederate monuments and keeps them from being removed or placed in more suitable locations. If we don’t repeal this law, the Confederate statues that were removed from the Capitol building will have to be put back within the next 90 days. Additionally, there are over 140 other monuments to the Confederacy around NC that are still standing and can’t be moved if this law doesn’t change.
